Yankee Candle founder’s former home is a 60-acre playground for adults

With a total of 120,000 square feet of living space spread across 8 structures, the megamansion has an out-of-this-world amenity roster, one that includes an indoor water park, a two-story arcade, a bowling alley, 4 tennis courts, and a private concert venue.

The legendary residence, one of the most unique homes in the entire state of Massachusetts, was built for Yankee Candle founder Michael Kittredge II.

Set on nearly 60 park-like acres about 2 hours outside of Boston, it has about 16 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms spread across eight separate structures, including a 5-bedroom main house, a clubhouse, a spa, a pool cabana, two guest houses, and two car barns.

Listed for as much as $23 million, the home has seen a few price cuts since first listing and is now looking to get $14,900,000. George Sarkis and Johnny Hatem Jr. with Douglas Elliman hold the listing.
